2010 Spring Conference
“Money Management for Young Adults!”

9am – 1pm
This will be the tenth year that the Federal Reserve
Bank of Boston has hosted the Massachusetts School
Bankers Spring Conference (MSBA). This conference is
a competition where partnering banks/schools come to
compete on topics such as identity theft, the Federal
Reserve System, credit, and many other topics. On the
competition day, the Boston Fed hosts about 25-30 schools
in Massachusetts (200-300 students and teachers).
The
students compete in different competitions:
• Marketing (teams develop marketing pieces
that focus on theme)
• Banking trivia (teams have to answer questions related
to the theme and the Federal Reserve System and their
responses are scored)
• Essay (750-word essay on the conference theme)
• Product development (an individual or team will create
a product that will be professionally presented that
reflects the theme of the conference)
The winning students receive scholarships and prizes.
